Overview

AmTrust Financial is currently seeking a Senior Process and Controls Analyst to join their Finance team in Jersey City. This analyst will assist in identifying finance systems processes as well as identify, implement and monitor controls to enhance the control environment within finance systems. 

Responsibilities

Process and Controls

  • Assist in identifying finance systems processes, including high-level and detailed process design
    • Identify business process improvements
    • Participate in efforts relating to optimization and standardization of Finance processes within the organization
    • Assist in coordination with finance close/reporting and data teams in ensuring effective and efficient close process
  • Assist in identification, implementation and monitoring of controls enhancing the control environment within finance systems
    • On-going review of existing Finance processes to ensure that internal controls are maintained and that efficient and effective financial transaction processing is in place

 

Security:

  • Assist in monitoring Oracle ERP roles and associated sensitive access and segregation of duties controls
  • Document security issues remediation through Risk Management Cloud

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with preferred emphasis in business, information systems, accounting or finance
  • 5+ experience in accounting, financial reporting or auditing
  • Ability to understand, identify and document processes and controls around finance systems, including interdependencies between systems and other manual processes
  • Insurance industry experience preferred, but not required
