Analytics Analyst III work intensely with the data work stream through all phases of an engagement, including conceptual design, detailed design, implementation, testing and production deployment. Analytics Analyst III work with Finance to prioritize information needs, design and implement data collection systems, identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, and monitor quality control plans.  The ideal candidate for this position is able to do complete life cycle data generation and outline critical information in a clear and actionable format for their stakeholders. 


Responsibilities include gathering requirements from finance, designing the solution and identifying the necessary system specifications required for executing the solution. As various issues arise, the finance business analyst works closely with IT to: translate any contextual differences that may interfere with the design process; identify additional data-entries to be built in to the application and flow for future reports; and to verify when final product is accurate.


  • The finance business analyst also collaborates with department heads, from business units other than finance, to coordinate blending data from multiple sources for unified reporting, and looks to identify cross-functional opportunities to either simplify, or improve, current processes.
  • Ability to build strong relationships within the business units and support functions so as to better understand the business needs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Prior experience in reporting and data visualization solutions, consulting or business analysis.
  • Experience with Office particularly Excel, Visio, Power BI, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with financial reporting solutions, Oracle Cloud ERP, Hyperion, Clearwater, Kyriba
  • Experience using Power BI or other BI software suites.
  • BA or Associates degree
  • 5+ years insurance experience, preferably in a finance department
