  • Overview

    As a member of the Global Technology & Operations - Strategic Vendor Management team, the Vendor Manager is responsible for overseeing key aspects of AmTrust Financial’s third-party supplier relationships. The Vendor Manager will assist with developing vendor deliverables and performance plans and will work to ensure that assigned vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations by delivering quality products and services on time according to defined agreements. This position will contribute to the efficiency, productivity and success of vendor engagements, and the project quality delivery for On-Shore and Off-Shore engagements.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages all aspects of assigned vendor relationships, including but not limited to vendor onboarding and program administration, contract management and reporting, performance and relationship management, and stakeholder communication.
    • Collaborates with corporate stakeholders, procurement and legal teams to develop vendor sourcing materials, such as RFP’s, RFQ’s and/or RFI’s in order to ensure all documents meet AmTrust standards.
    • Understands contract market trends, and aligns the correct contract structure to project requirements. Assists with the development and negotiation of vendor contract documents to ensure they include necessary terms and conditions, roles and responsibilities and proper performance penalties and incentives. Ensures contracts go through appropriate approval process before implementation.
    • Monitors and evaluates contract performance to ensure compliance to contract obligations and to determine need for amendments, extensions or change orders. Monitors contract penalties and incentives, and ensures proper application and enforcement.
    • Manages relationships with vendors, stakeholders and other key business units to ensure issues are appropriately addressed and business needs are met. Serves as point of contact for assigned vendor communications, contract questions, and issues.
    • Ensures that vendor-driven recommendations and processes support overall IT strategy and direction.
    • Develops and maintains reporting on contract performance, vendor performance, and spend for senior management
    • Drives vendor performance improvement via vendor score carding and regular communication with vendors on performance improvement opportunities
    • Develops relationships with IT managers and staff to support project objectives
    • Supports SVM leadership in the development and enhancement of policies, controls, processes and tools to support vendor management activities.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum B.S. or B.A. Degree
    • Data Analysis Skills (e.g., SQL data extraction, Exporting to MS Excel, data manipulation, Report Formatting, and analysis)
    • Excellent English written and verbal communication skill
    • Strong Analytic, Documentation, and Organizational Skills
    • Efficient with multitasking between multiple projects
    • Proficiency in all Microsoft products including: MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint 2010
    • Ability to make recommendations and present findings to Executive Management.
    • Ability to lead any necessary Process Improvement efforts needed to mature organization
    • Minimum 8 years of Vendor Management Experience (On Shore / Off Shore)
    • Minimum 5 years of Off-Shore Vendor Management Experience
    • Minimum 5 years of Contract Management and SOW Development
    • Experienced Managing Project Teams and Vendor relationships.
    • Experienced with entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
    • Project Management Office (PMO) experience required
    • Strong Business Operations Management and analytics required
