  • Overview

    Amtrust Financial Services, a fast growing commercial insurance company, has a need for a Workers’ Compensation Claims Director. 


    • Technical and Operational oversight for assigned office(s) including compliance with AmTrust standards and Industry Best Practices
    • Ensure consistent delivery of high quality Claim outcomes as well as Operational effectiveness of an office in the location where the candidate resides
    • Coordinates the development of staffing and training needs, career and succession planning, and to be responsible for budget preparation for an assigned office(s).
    • Has direct and/or indirect responsibility for 25-100 colleagues
    • In partnership with Claim Supervisors, develop plans to achieve Organizational goals and objectives and develop improvement plans as necessary
    • Works to ensure that approved vendors are utilized
    • Works with our Attorney vendor panel on action plans to ensure cost-effective results
    • Works with Supervisors on monitoring claims, ensuring pro-effective and creative cost management
    • Maintains current knowlede of related Workers' Compensation laws and regulations



    • BA/BS degree or equivalent
    • 5+ years of progressive management experience within Workers’ Compensation insurance industry
    • Ability to work independently and handle multiple task and manage time effectively through many distractions
    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to make sound decisions based on deductive reasoning
    • Excellent PC and data entry skills with experience in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
    • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
