The claims supervisor is responsible to supervise activities within the claims department. This may encompass supervision of administrative tasks and staff or oversight of the investigation of insurance claims involving auto physical damage, subrogation, and/or personal injury protection claims. Supervisory duties will include the technical development of the adjusters claim files which includes coverage, liability investigation, development and evaluation of damages, settlement strategy and arbitration management. These claims arise in various jurisdictions throughout the country and, as such, experience and adjusters’ license in multiple jurisdictions is required. This position will also have personnel administration responsibilities for the adjusters under their supervision. This position will assist the Casualty Claims Manager on various special projects as needed.
