  • Overview

    We are looking for a truly talented individual that can provide advanced legal expertise and support to management for legal matters including, but not limited to, settlements and litigation, post judgment actions and related issues.

     

    This personal shall support the Director of Accounts Receivable, Legal Affairs & Collections with the management and administration of cases involved in litigation, as assigned.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and organize research across internal departments
    • Prepare case file memoranda and track legal matters through entire life cycle
    • Ensure prompt calendaring of legal events (hearings, mediations, trials, etc.)
    • Collaborate with internal business partners and outside counsel parties for document production and
    • Maintain knowledge of trends in the industry and familiarity with relevant statutes, regulations, case law, and other legal requirements and guidelines
    • Provide support to other areas of the business/department as needs arise

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal certification (ABA Approved) preferred; however, J.D. applicants will be considered for this position
    • Minimum of four years of law firm and/or paralegal experience
    • Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Strong legal research skills
    • Familiarity with litigation process, collections and state insurance law
    • Quick learner with a strong desire to learn more and stretch outside their comfort zone
    • Strong analytical skills with ability to organize data and documents with close attention to detail
    • Must be able to handle large and diverse workload
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with ability to interface with all levels of the organization
    • Flexibility with hours in excess of 40 hours per week
    • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly
