  • Overview

    The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving skills and will work closely with both the development team, business managers and end users. They will participate in the support, research, recreation and resolution of application production errors reported via the helpdesk.


    • Provide status to team leads and project managers.
    • Analyzes and identifies the sources of application problems and works with IT to successfully resolve application problems.
    • Works closely with Architects, Developers, Lead Business Analysts, QA and users to ensure that developed functionality meets requirements.
    • Participates in production implementation, verification and accountable for validating particular enhancements.
    • Plan, document, evaluate and track testing results to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects.
    • Assist with analysis to determine sources of discrepancies between actual and expected results.
    • Responsible for determining test requirements based on project specifications.
    • May be responsible for the creation and execution of manual test plans and oversee results.
    • Communicate and interact with appropriate areas on changes and enhancements that may impact data, workflow and functionality.
    • Review business processes with end users to ensure a clear understanding of business requirements that need to be translated to solid test plans.
    • Test and implement changes, document and train users on new processes while adhering to specific compliance measures required by SOX. Facilitate group meetings as necessary to confirm understanding of issues and requirements.
    • Responsible for tracking and reporting the status of issues, escalation of issues and following through with issues until resolution.
    • Potential on-call support outside of normal working hours as necessary during critical times and scheduled code pushes.
    • Responsible for adhering to and meeting set service level agreements.
    • Service Now ticket maintenance.


    • Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent experience.
    • 2 plus years of experience in another area of the system development life cycle helpful.
    • Experience in an agile environment helpful.
    • Previous experience in manual and automated software testing helpful.
    • Previous experience in another area of helpdesk support helpful.
    • Experience in Commercial Property & Casualty insurance experience highly desired.
    • Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent business experience required.
    • Flexible team player who can work in a fast paced environment where ambiguity exists and priorities are subject to change.
    • Ability to organize and work on multiple tasks at the same time; able to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment. Ability to share knowledge with internal support team as well as train end users.
    • Must be proficient in Word and Excel.
