    Responsibilities

    Have you spent 5 years in audit or advisory in a big 4 firm in either the insurance or the banking practice?

    Do you want to be involved with the deal making process in order to generate profit?

    We offer you the unique opportunity to transfer from accounting to profit generation by joining an International Team that is transaction / bottom line focused.

    You will work to help execute a very diverse international business plan (acquisition, insurance & reinsurance, structured finance) working with actuaries, lawyers, accountants and underwriters to help market our division and generate and close transactions.

     

    Position

    • Develop the business of structured (re)insurance programs provided by URU concentrating on Latin American market segment
    • Effectively market URU to Brokers & Intermediaries and Other AMTRUST divisions
    • Source, underwrite and negotiate insurance transactions in line with the approved guidelines
    •  Develop and control policy wordings
    • Ensure appropriate clauses are used on slips and that wordings are produced on timeline basis
    • Ensure all bound transactions are supported by an actuarial review, deal memorandum and cash flow projection together with minutes of underwriting committee approval
    • The position offers a good degree of flexibility and the opportunity to develop the role.

    Qualifications

    • Fully qualified accountant, CPA, ACCA or equivalent would be considered a strong asset
    • At least 3 years accounting & auditing experience in the insurance industry
    • Knowledge of tax, although not a prerequisite, would be beneficial
    • Ability to work remotely with team members located in USA, UK and Luxembourg
    • Team player that enjoys taking responsibility and is responsible for own deliverables
    • Ability to multi-task
    • Willingness to take initiative and be comfortable working in a small dynamic environment
    • A multinational context, with regular contact with other locations. Position will sit in our Luxembourg Office and require frequent travel throughout Europe.
