    Who We Are Looking For

    This is a salaried, exempt position that requires high energy in a fast paced environment. Underwriter/Technical Team Leads must be a commercial insurance expert with the ability to coach and motivate sales agents while keeping performance in the forefront! This role will assist the licensed sales agent group in providing a variety of commercial insurance products to small and medium sized businesses. 

    Successful candidates must be available between the hours of 8:30am and 9:00pm Monday - Friday. Schedules can and will change over time, so flexibility is important.  Afternoon and evening shifts are the most probable to start.


    • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
      • Develop skills, improve performance, and encourage professional growth of sales agents by providing technical assistance and feedback
      • Deep understanding of the small to mid-size commercial insurance marketplace including worker’s compensation, liability and property.
      • Knowledge of business classifications (SIC, NAICS, etc.)
      • Assist sales agents with commercial insurance product knowledge and analysis when necessary
      • Assist sales agents with underwriting inquiries and communication
      • Act as a liaison between the sales agent group and carrier representatives
      • Assist sales agents in carrier portal navigation
      • Handle customer inquiries and escalations when necessary
      • Navigate and resolve system, telephony or other user down scenarios for sales agents
      • Provide support of quality audit initiatives and key areas of focus
      • Communicate directly with sales supervisors, quality audit, customer care, underwriting and other members of senior sales leadership when appropriate to provide feedback and updates regarding sales agent performance


    What You Must Bring

    • Minimum 1 year commercial insurance experience
    • Minimum 1 year of sales experience
    • Ability to obtain Property & Casualty licenses
    • Extraordinary leadership, coaching, and development skills
    • Strong judgment, problem solving, and decision making skills
    • Proven planning, organizational and multi-tasking abilities
    • Excellent business writing skills
    • Genuineness and integrity
