Overview

Manage State and Federal Workers’ Compensation medical only claims including the expert management of customer concerns. This position must provide leadership and coaching to the team and share knowledge across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload up to 350 medical only claim files from inception to resolution
  • Issue all appropriate notices/forms
  • Monitor all files for 100% closing ratio
  • Work on all incoming mail daily
  • Send medical treatment requests in a timely manner
  • Review, approve and properly code medical and in-house bills daily, factually and file documentation in a timely manner
  • Identify possibly fraudulent claims activity with prompt referral to the SIU
  • Provide exemplary customer service by returning phone calls from all customers
  • Handle special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Prior experience (1-3 years) working with and knowledge of New Jersey laws, rules, and regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write reports and present findings to group are essential
  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to handle all customer/claimants issues; provide and work through viable solutions
  • Present an excellent image of company to external contacts
  • Work effectively in a team environment with both internal and external contacts
  • Ability to work with an analyze numbers
  • Excellent coaching skills and ability to share knowledge with others
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems with little to no supervision
  • Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet development and analysis, electronic mail, database management and update, develop graphic representation of data
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • DE license preferred
  • State licenses preferred and required within 90 days of hire
