AmTrust is seeking a senior accountant/financial analyst to perform the accounting and back office of its portfolio of in force transactions and the financial analysis of proposed transactions.


The position offers a good degree of flexibility and the opportunity to develop the role. This is not purely an accounting based role and offers a unique opportunity for a bright individual to develop in an exciting environment by effectively contributing to the development of new Structured (Re) Insurance or Financial solutions for our international client base. 


  • Financial Reporting of the URU Division
  • Quarterly Management Reporting for management review
  • Monitor, maintain and, if necessary, propose improvement of accounting control environment
  • Audit of in force transactions including onsite client visit
  • Day to day liaison with external auditors and other stakeholders (i.e. banks, etc.) 
  • Financial Analysis
  • Accounting and tax analysis of proposed transactions to assess feasibility and financial impact for all parties
  • Review and analysis of 3rd party financial statements
  • Development of expertise in accounting, tax and regulatory issues


  • Fully qualified accountant, CPA, ACCA or equivalent would be considered a strong asset
  • At least 3 years accounting & auditing experience in the insurance industry
  • Knowledge of US Tax, although not a prerequisite, would be beneficial
  • Ability to work remotely with team members located in Ireland, Bermuda, UK and Luxembourg
  • Team player that enjoys taking responsibility and is responsible for own deliverables
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to take initiative and be comfortable working in a small dynamic environment
  • A multinational context, with regular contact with other  locations which might include    
  • Some travel
