Overview

PDP Group, a division of AmTrust Financial, is searching for a Account Representative - Commerical Vehicle Lines.  Shift is 8:30am to 5:00pm.

 

Summary:  Provide prompt service to insureds; service new/renewal commercial and personal lines policies. Assist producers in preparing and maintaining new and renewal account submissions and proposals.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for servicing non-complex commercial accounts with limited supervision.
  • Perform supportive tasks for Senior Account Representatives and producers as assigned according to company guidelines. 
  • Verbal and written communication with insureds and company underwriters.
  • Check endorsements and policies for accuracy.
  • Prepare various ACORD forms.
  • Enter and manage accounts in AMS including following up on AMS activities/diaries.
  • Obtain additional information to complete submissions.
  • Process new and renewal business submissions.
  • Set up files according to procedures.
  • Prepare insurance presentations, binders, certificates of insurance, ID cards, invoices.
  • Order and review motor vehicle records.
  • Research coverages and various insurance topics when needed.
  • Adhere to company workflow and system procedures.
  • Assist with development of workflow procedures as directed.
  • Assist with resolving accounting problems/collections when warranted.
  • Review and process policy audits.
  • Handle various duties as relates to reported claims.
  • Advise supervisor of accounts that do not adhere to guidelines or time frames.

Education/Experience:

Minimum two year college degree preferred. One to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Insurance 21, 22, 23/AINS designation or a strong working knowledge of all lines. Willingness to expand insurance knowledge through insurance related courses.

 

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

 

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:

Efficient in Word and Excel; experienced in Power Point. Typing skills of at least 45-50 WPM with minimal errors.

 

Certificates and Licenses:

IIA AINS Certification or comparable education; must have and maintain current insurance agent’s license in property & casualty, and life and health if warranted, and take continuing education classes to maintain license(s).

 

Environmental Ability:

Must be able to work in fast paced environment. Must be flexible and able to adapt to frequently changing priorities.
