Overview

The Software Engineer I works with the data work stream through phases of an engagement, including conceptual design, detailed design, implementation, testing and production deployment. Responsibilities entail defining and assembling technical data deliverables and work products. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Responsibilities

  • Will be responsible for handling enhancements and bug fixes on existing ASP.NET web sites or assist on new projects of smaller scope
  • Employee will be responsible for handling tickets pertaining to issues documenting their work and what was fixed.
  • Write beginner to intermediate SQL queries to consume in the application
  • Use jQuery and other client scripting tools to help enhance the front end of ASP.NET web sites
  • Manage code changes with version control using Git branches
  • Keeps current with market trends and demands.
  • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of object oriented development concepts
  • Preferable exposure to C# and .NET Framework
  • College Degree Desired
  • Self Starter/Motivated
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and SQL querying
  • NET experience (MVC especially) is a plus
  • NET WebAPI experience is a plus
