Overview

This position will adhere to a hybrid schedule in our Cleveland, OH office.

 

The Employee Experience Director is a strategic experience leader responsible for designing and delivering enterprise-wide internal communications and events that strengthen alignment, belonging, and connection across the organization. This role plays a critical part in bringing the Employee Experience strategy to life through compelling storytelling, executive visibility, and thoughtfully designed employee moments that matter to support belonging, connection, growth, and giving back.

 

This position leads high-impact experiences such as Executive Committee town halls, leadership forums, and multi-site office visits, ensuring consistent, authentic communication between senior leaders and employees globally. The role partners closely with Employee Experience, Learning, Inclusion & Belonging, Employee Networks, and business leaders to create communications and events that reinforce culture, purpose, and performance.

 

The expected salary range for this role is $87,600 - 122,000.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Partners closely with HR, Learning & Development, Internal Communications, Marketing, Executives and Executive Admins, and external partners to deliver:

 

Enterprise Communications & Experience Strategy

· Design and execute an integrated internal communications and events strategy aligned to the enterprise Employee Experience vision.

· Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on employee communications, engagement moments, and experience-driven storytelling.

· Ensure communications and events are cohesive, inclusive, and aligned across regions, functions, and employee populations.

· Translate business priorities, change initiatives, and cultural commitments into clear, engaging employee communications.

 

Executive Committee Engagement, Town Halls & Site Visits

· Lead end-to-end planning and execution for Executive Committee town halls, including content strategy, messaging, speaker preparation, production, and follow-up.

· Partner directly with Executive Committee members to craft authentic, transparent narratives that resonate with employees.

· Plan and manage executive site visits across office locations, designing agendas that foster dialogue, visibility, and meaningful connection between leaders and local teams.

· Ensure consistent executive experience standards while customizing content to reflect local culture, business priorities, and employee sentiment.

 

 

Storytelling, Channels & Employee Voice

· Shape and amplify employee-centric storytelling through executive messages, employee stories, and enterprise platforms.

· Partner with Internal Communications and Digital teams to optimize channels (live, virtual, hybrid, written and multimedia).

· Elevate employee voice by incorporating insights from listening efforts, Employee Networks, and site feedback into communications and events.

· Support leaders in developing effective communication presence and inclusive messaging.

 

Events & Moments That Matter

· Own the design and delivery of high-impact employee events, including enterprise town halls, leadership forums, cultural moments, and experience-focused gatherings, the most significant of which is the company’s periodical Global Leadership Meeting.

· Apply experience design principles to events – focusing on purpose, emotional connection, and employee voice rather than logistics alone.

· Partner with Employee Networks, Inclusion & Belonging, and Learning teams to embed belonging, development, and purpose into flagship events.

· Ensure events support key moments across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, leadership transitions, engagement milestones, change moments).

 

Measurement, Insights & Continuous Improvement

· Define and track success metrics for communications and events, including engagement, sentiment, reach, and qualitative feedback.

· Use employee listening data and post-event insights to continuously refine experiences and storytelling approaches.

· Regularly assess the effectiveness of executive communications and enterprise events, providing recommendations for improvement.

 

Collaboration & Enterprise Partnership

· Partner closely with Employee Experience, Learning & Development, Inclusion & Belonging, Employee Networks, HR, IT, and Corporate Communications.

· Function as a connector across functions to ensure communications and events reinforce a unified employee experience ecosystem.

· Manage external vendors, agencies, and production partners as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

· 8-12+ years of progressively responsible experience in internal communications, employee engagement, events, or experience design

· Demonstrated experience leading enterprise communications, executive events, or large-scale internal programs.

· Strong executive presence with the ability to partner confidently with senior leaders and the C-suite.

· Exceptional and innovative written, verbal, and storytelling skills.

· Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience supporting executive committees, town halls, or leadership roadshows.

· Background in employee experience, culture, DEI, or organizational development.

· Global or multi-site organizational experience.

· Experience designing communications or events grounded in employee insights and data.

· Strategic mindset, with the ability to function as a consultative subject matter expert

· Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (20-30%)
