AmTrust North America, Inc. is seeking a full-time Paralegal-II for its Litigation Department. This position will support multiple Litigation Department units. The Paralegal will maintain a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values and uphold the standards of the AmTrust organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate referrals from business partners to the Litigation Department units.
2. Monitor, prioritize, triage and respond to group email box communications.
3. Referral intake, set up and creation in the Litify case management platform.
4. Communicate with business partners to ensure accuracy of the referral data.
5. Identify, extract and upload appropriate file documentation supporting referrals into case management platforms and trackers.
6. Manage Litigation Department Sharepoint trackers, with intent to migrate all information into Ltify.
7. Work with Litify vendor to make changes as necessary to incorporate international office caseloads and important documents.
8. Prioritize accuracy of data integrity and entry.
9. Categorize and name documents using a standard format.
10. Manage multiple competing priorities in a deadline-oriented setting.
11. Set up and document litigation files consistent with Company protocols and compliance requirements.
12. Track litigation file financials and reserves for necessary corporate reporting.
13. Tracking and management of policy demand and claims against the company processes
14. Conduct legal and docket research and report on findings.
15. Handle payment of related litigation case settlements and expenses including attorneys, experts and vendors.
16. Process monthly Sharepoint and Litify reporting.
17. Perform other functionally related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent designation; or
Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college or university
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases
· Three to six years of experience as a paralegal
· Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environmentBasic understanding of the various insurance and litigation documents
· Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
· Superior interpersonal with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
