The Accountant l is a key team member completing critical tasks related to insurance transaction processing, financial and management reporting, reconciliations, account analysis, as well as providing process enhancements. The position will support the Finance team with demands related to AmTrust Specialty Programs Unit, maintaining a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Responsibilities:
Required:
• Bachelor Degree in Business with a major in accounting, or equivalent
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably insurance
• Intermediate Excel (pivot, vlookup, etc.), and Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to multi-task while working independently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
• Ability to identify problems and propose viable solutions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must be flexible and have demonstrated skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Strong initiative, problem solving, and interpersonal skills, plus an orientation toward continuous improvement
• Strong appreciation for the importance of ensuring accuracy in all levels of financial reporting
