Overview

The National Marketing Manager is responsible for seeking out new business and renewal retention for the Alternative Workers’ Compensation unit. This role is national in scope and holds responsibility for broker relations, new business production, renewal retention while adhering to the annual goals of the corporation. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit new and renewal business in partnership with brokers across the U.S. for all products offered by AmTrust. The focus would be on Excess Workers’ Compensation, Large Deductible Workers’ Compensation and Captive risks.
  • Collaborates closely with territory team. Keep peers and Territory Management informed of all issues and activity
  • In collaboration with Territory Production Underwriters and Management, develop and implement the territory business plan and share accountability with team in meeting territory goals.
  • Train territory staff and brokers on underwriting appetite and protocols in conjunction with corporate training guidelines
  • Coach and collaborate with the team to develop, manage and maintain outside broker and client relationships, which will include traveling in the U.S. to meet with brokers, policy holders, prospective policy holders, nonprofit associations or groups. Actively plan and participate in industry events as required such as but not limited to brokers and associations or insurance conventions.
  • In time, manage other marketing personnel across the U.S. to secure business for the Alternative Workers’ Compensation team.
  • Provides professional, timely and courteous communication and service to external clients and cross departmental staff to successfully resolve issues pertaining to policyholders and territory producers.
  • Provides the pertinent information and guidance to support staff required to process coverage requests in accordance with service guidelines, if necessary.
  • Collaborates with territory team on reports and update databases or CRM, as required
  • Assists in gathering and communicating competitive intelligence
  • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or tenured industry experience.

• Minimum of 10 or more years of Workers’ Compensation sales experience.

• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% or more of the time including to the Home Office as required

• This position is a hybrid work location position with the preference to work from any AmTrust office building relationships with other AmTrust team members and from Home when not traveling on business.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision, proficiency with Microsoft Suite of products as well as Sales Force.

 

Preferred:

• 10 years of commercial line property and casualty experience

• Ability to make sound contributions to tactical and strategic planning

• Experience collaborating closely with underwriting and all service teams.

 

The expected salary range for this role is $150,200-$234,000/year.
