Overview

The Excess Workers’ Compensation Underwriting Assistant II administers the underwriting, servicing of new, and renewal accounts for agents and producers assigned within the territory in compliance with company underwriting, authority, and pricing standards. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Responsibilities

  • Intake of submissions to include log in, set up and pricing model population.
  •  Communicate with Actuarial, Claims, Agency Services, IT and other departments across AmTrust on submissions to keep lines of communications open across various disciplines.
  •  Collaborates closely with territory underwriters and marketing team. Keep peers and Management informed of all issues and activity
  • Collaborates with the team to track and maintain brokers, TPA’s, new and renewal insureds data and changes for all three.
  •  Provides professional, timely and courteous communication and service to external clients and cross departmental staff to successfully resolve issues pertaining to policyholders and territory producers
  • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications: Required:

· 1-3 years of excellent Excel and other Microsoft suite applications experience.

· 1 year of workers’ compensation and commercial lines liability working experience or college level degree in insurance risk management.

· Communication skills by phone and email.

 

 

Preferred:

· Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze data for input into a pricing model.

· Respect for confidential information

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

The expected salary range for this role is $17.00-$26.00/hour.
