Overview

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. a fast-growing multinational property and
casualty insurance company has an immediate need for a Paralegal in their
New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Staff Counsel team in Princeston New Jersy 

 

Responsibilities

Review and analysis of files before scheduled hearings, including written
pre-hearing reports for multiple attorneys;
• Pulling, organizing and bookmarking medical records on a regular basis;
• Scheduling examinations with vendors and facilities;
• Working with vendors to request and obtain records via
subpoena/medical authorization; following up and
organizing/summarizing upon receipt;
• Composing routine correspondence, taking calls from attorneys, claims
professionals, opposing counsel, and courts;
• Experience working in an all-inclusive document management platform
is required

 

This is a deadline-driven work environment. The ability to stay organized,
self-motivate, work independently and on a collaborative team is
vital. Excellent time management a must

Qualifications

 

  • The ideal applicant would have 3+ years of litigation experience.
  • 2 + years of Workers compensation defense exposure 
  • An associate
    or bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate is a plus.
  • Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to
    prioritize and manage multiple competing deadlines.
  • The position requires reading and comprehending complex instructions from attorneys and
    proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
