Join AmTrust Insurance Premium Auditor Training Program!
As a Premium Auditor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate insurance premium calculations by reviewing financial records, conducting audits, and collaborating with policyholders. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who thrive in a structured environment and enjoy investigative work.
You’ll begin with comprehensive training and mentorship to build a strong foundation in audit practices. By the end of your first 90 days, you’ll be confidently managing a full audit workload and contributing to our team’s success.
Note, this is an in-office opportunity out of one of our AmTrust offices.
Training Timeline
We’re committed to setting you up for success from day one. Here’s what to expect during your first 90 days:
· First 30 Days: In-depth, classroom-style training focused on industry terminology and audit best practices (primarily in-office).
· Next 60 Days: Begin working with a dedicated mentor while gradually increasing your audit workload.
· 90 Day Mark: Fully trained and independently managing up to 34 audits per day.
What You’ll Learn
As a Premium Auditor, you’ll gain valuable skills and industry knowledge through hands-on experience and structured training:
· Audit Methodology: Master audit processes, sampling techniques, and risk assessment strategies.
· Investigative Skills: Learn to evaluate premium foundations based on policy contract provisions.
· Financial Analysis: Develop expertise in reviewing payroll records, general ledgers, tax documents, and financial statements.
· Regulatory Compliance: Build a solid understanding of state and federal insurance regulations and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities Post Training
· Identifies, researches, and corrects policy-rating issues discovered during the audit process. Works to resolve audit discrepancies and disputes.
· Validates that the correct classes are applied and are in accordance with governing regulatory agencies and/or independent state bureaus and company procedures by reviewing financial records and other relevant materials.
· Reviews results of audits with producers, underwriters, insured’s, and Premium Audit leadership.
· May perform telephone and/or virtual audits.
· Provides excellent customer service to both internal and external customers throughout the life cycle of the premium audit function.
· Keeps current with manual rules, market trends and demands.
· May be required to work overtime as assigned.
· Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Required:
· Two-year college degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
· Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Preferred:
· 1 year of related premium audit experience
· Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
