Overview

AmTrust is seeking a Senior Underwriting Assistant to provide administrative support to multiple underwriters to expedite the workflow process for the Surety team. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve, open, index, and scan incoming mail and process outbound mail
  • Monitor and distribute email mailbox communication
  • Answering phone calls
  • Processing reports
  • Maintaining office equipment (supplies, postage, service)
  • Issuing manual bonds
  • Other general office tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of general office experience required.
  • Operate mailing, copy, and fax equipment
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to learn new software applications
  • Strong Attention to detail


Preferred: 

  • Previous underwriting assistance preferred
