Summary:
This position directly reports to the EVP of the Litigation Department. In this role, you will assist with reinsurance issues, extra-contractual matters specific to workers’ compensation and general liability, and suits filed against the Company. Candidates should have reinsurance and/or workers’ compensation litigation experience. This role provides technical leadership to the Litigation Department for all procedural and substantive issues involving workers’ compensation relative to direct insurance, reinsurance, runoff lines of business, and regulatory decision making. You will develop and implement various Litigation Department missions and objectives, including litigation best practices, optimization of litigation management and strategy decisions, mitigation and elimination of behaviors that might give rise to extra-contractual exposure, all consistent with the best interests of AmTrust insureds. Maintain understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Uphold the standards of the AmTrust organization.
