Overview

The Premium Audit Quality Analyst performs quality control on audits completed by internal audit staff and premium audit vendors ensuring the accuracy of earned premium risk calculations.  Investigates and verifies the premium base exposures according to policy contract terms, manual rules, company filings, and procedures.  Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Responsibilities

  1. Performs quality control checks of physical, virtual and voluntary audits completed by internal staff and premium audit vendors under limited supervision. Examines / audits records to ensure that calculations of earned premium for risks are accurate. 
  1. Validates that the correct classes are applied and are in accordance with governing regulatory agencies and/or independent state bureaus and company procedures by reviewing financial records and other relevant materials.
  1. Logs quality scores and communicates results of quality control audits to auditors and Premium Audit leadership.
  1. Provides technical guidance and assistance to lower level positions.
  1. Releases all audits from QA bins in a timely manner.
  1. Assists Operations Manager with review of large audit refunds to ensure accuracy of premiums reported.
  1. Keeps current with manual rules, market trends and demands.
  1. May be required to work overtime as assigned.
  1. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline OR equivalent experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpretive skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment


Preferred: 

  • 3 or more years of related premium audit experience
  • Associates in Premium Audit Program (APA) certification preferred OR working towards APA certification
