Overview

The Excess & Surplus Lines Operations Team supports external agents, internal underwriters and management for all E&S products.  Communication is primarily received via email and our mission is to be the single point of contact for our agents and end users by providing high quality and innovative support.

This Business System Analyst (“BSA”) position provides analytical and administrative support to the E&S Business units.  The BSA will troubleshoot and resolve internal and external system users’ operational challenges.  The BSA interacts with underwriters, project teams and IT Business Analysts to make sure the final deliverables meet the requested specifications and requirements the end user is expecting. This position interacts professionally with both external clients and internal business partners within the Company.

 

Successful candidates will exhibit a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values, as well as upholding the standards of the AmTrust organization.  This position will require hybrid attendance in Cleveland, OH, Scottsdale, AZ, or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Proficiently manage the resolution of reported issues, balancing the need for customer service and issue resolution with expertise and professionalism.
  • Translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand language to assist clients
  • Accurately and efficiently record all interactions with clients using a Helpdesk management database.
  • Analyzes and identifies the sources of application problems and works with IT and or end user to successfully resolve application problems.
  • Provide user test for system issues and enhancements.
  • Ability to document and analyze business and system processes for existing and new products
  • Follow policies and procedures regarding the safeguarding of sensitive information
  • Performs other functionally related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • 3-5 years Commercial Property and Casualty Insurance background highly desired
  • Experience working on policy issuance systems with an underwriting Quality Assurance and/or basic end user testing knowledge required
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Position will occasionally require working outside of the standard 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM work hours

  • Ability to follow through and successfully execute tasks while adhering to specified quality standards
  • Excellent problem analysis, troubleshooting, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Possess a proactive mindset to seek information to create effective solutions
  • Proven ability to build rapport while providing superior customer service and maintaining positive relationships with internal teams and client contacts
  • Ability to work well independently and as a team member
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
