The Production Underwriter is part of the commercial property sales and marketing department at AmTrust. In this role, you will travel to different insurance agencies to develop relationships with the agents and promote AmTrust’s products and services. Once you have established a contract with an agency, you will work with the underwriting department to analyze the financial risk of applicants that come in through that agency and determine if they qualify for coverage. This role will service new, and renewal accounts for agents and producers assigned within the territory in compliance with company underwriting, authority, and pricing standards. You often need to review loss history reports, credit checks, and independent inspections. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.
The salary range for this role is $95-110K, this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Maryland. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics. This range may be modified in the future.
