Overview

Responsible for identifying suppliers, researching goods and services, processing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and verifying delivered items.  Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust’s mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manages REQ to PO lifecycle in Oracle Cloud ERP ensuring purchase order/contract delivery.
  • Ensures all purchases are compliant with corporate standards.
  • Use of Prebuilt Catalogs & Punch-out Sites/Updating of such catalogs as needed
  • Use of Oracle reporting tools.
  • Ensure all employees follow formal requisition & approval process (legal review, management awareness).
  • Train or coach internal stakeholders at all levels of organization on Procure to Pay process.
  • Ensures compliance with AMT Procurement, Contract and Third Party Risk Management policies.
  • Critically assess suppliers, products, and services, and negotiate the best possible deals.
  • Reviews key details including purchase, spend, Supplier, Ship-To address, etc.
  • Communicates with Vendor Maintenance any updates/changes to vendor accounts promptly.
  • Provides efficient tracking of spend and related values via Savings Tracker.
  • Ensures contractual documents stored properly in Ironclad and other pertinent documents related to contracts.
  • Trains Procurement Team on any new processes and procedures when they become available.

Qualifications

Required:

  • University degree required or 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Excellent communication ability across all levels of organization.
  • Strong organization and documentation skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Experience negotiating with vendors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.

 

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in Purchasing.
  • Experience utilizing Oracle ERP or Procure to Pay suites.
  • Prior experience in Insurance industry.
