Overview

The AVP, EPM Finance Systems Lead is responsible for leading a team of business and financial systems analysts who support the financial reporting process of AmTrust Financial Services through the organization’s suite of Oracle cloud applications. The role interacts across our finance systems and leadership teams, including Finance Transformation, Financial Reporting, and FP&A to ensure best practice use of Oracle Financial Consolidation and Cloud Service (FCCS) and other Oracle EPM products (EPBCS, ARCS, EDMCS). The role requires strong working knowledge of financial reporting applications, specifically Oracle EPM solutions (FCCS, EPBCS, ARCS, EDMCS). This position also requires a strong accounting and finance background, prior experience working with general ledger systems and the ability to translate finance principles into correct system rules.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of system professionals who administer, monitor and configure Oracle FCCS and EPBCS to meet the requirements of the Financial Reporting and FP&A teams.
  • Perform analysis to ensure completeness of data through the close cycle. Coordinate with other functions to address any issues and challenges with data integrity.
  • Support the corporate accounting team in performing close related tasks, including managing the departments close calendar, ensuring all close activities are identified and scheduled in accordance with closing priorities in adherence to the corporate close calendar.
  • Ensure that financial systems and processes adhere to the company's framework of internal controls, including driving the design and execution of related controls.
  • Partner closely with the FP&A and actuarial department to work on the use of EPBCS for budgeting, forecasting, actuals and other analytics.
  • Prioritize and address various broad and individual projects, process improvement and transformation initiatives as they arise.
  • Manage staff by setting individual and team goals; with a strong focus on developing and mentoring others and ensuring individuals gain in-depth knowledge of accounting activities
  • Perform other functionally related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years experience in Accounting or Finance including experience working with Oracle EPM and Oracle Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is required.
  • Prior experience in managing and leading others with increasing levels of responsibility in a large-scale organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Ability to prioritize, and manage workload to meet assigned deadlines in fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that highlights the individual’s ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and third parties to maximize performance by improving current processes or implementing new processes as deemed necessary
  • Excellent Excel skills


Preferred: 

  • Insurance industry experience is a plus

The salary range for this role is $180K - $200K per year. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics. This range may be modified in the future.
